Welcome to MGIC Connects — a new method of fulfilling a long-held tradition.

For 57 years, we have been proud advocates of the American Dream. Indeed, we were founded on a mission to make it easier for lenders to help people buy homes.

As pioneers of the private mortgage insurance industry, we have a unique viewpoint of the entire mortgage process. Lenders, investors, media outlets, consumer advocates, regulators as well as national and state government officials seek our input on residential lending matters ranging from what borrowers can safely afford, to origination and underwriting practices, and servicing and default servicing.

From helping lenders put families in homes to finding ways to help at-risk homeowners keep their homes, MGIC is involved, first-hand, in many issues our customers and consumers care about.

Over the years, we’ve used this expertise to introduce and improve mortgage insurance programs that best suit the needs of customers and consumers. We also used this expertise to develop tools such as Lender Landscape, contract underwriting, PinPoint direct marketing, Evaluating the Self-Employed Borrower software, First-Time Homebuyer Education, and other programs, all aimed at helping lenders in their mission.

This blog creates a new forum to share our distinct industry perspective and an additional way to share ideas and tips.

MGIC Connects will post industry trends, sales strategies and marketing opportunities that we hope will help you achieve greater success, and in turn, help more families realize their dream of homeownership.

In addition to MGIC Connects, we recently launched other social media sites, including revamped LinkedIn and YouTube pages and a new Twitter account.

We hope you find all these new platforms insightful and beneficial and we welcome your feedback.
